On a recent trip to Broken Hill in outback NSW I did anticipate coming across many mining machines and it didn’t take long to find them!

Many of the machines in Broken Hill are looked after by the West Darling Machinery Preservation Society.  Who we visited their grounds and were made most welcome.

The photo’s in this article were taken during our visit some of the items were located at the grounds of the West Darling Machinery Preservation Society.  A number of them were located at Line of Lode Miners Memorial and Visitors Centre which appeared to be in the process of re-organizing when we were there but we were out of normal season.  But well worth a look.
